nyc 1985. 

Doing that Mortified Sessions show in a couple of weeks and so we’ve been digging for material. I will have plenty about which to be mortified, it turns out.

This gem is interesting for reasons that might well mortify all parties contained therein. I will for now just note that it is a picture of my mother, myself at 15 holding a Polaroid no less, my father, and my (now ex) then soon to be stepfather who at the time of this picture was 13 years younger than I am now. I believe this is New Year’s Eve 1985 at the Odeon, in NYC where step-pop was living but where my divorced parents and I were merely visiting. Perhaps my episode will be called the  the Post-Modern Sessions. 

The waiter (?) alas needs to work on his framing a bit.
